How to connect with bloggers in your niche

In my previous articles Link exchange tips for bloggers and Niche marketing for bloggers I outlined the importance of connecting with Bloggers in your niche and how can that help your site get more visitors.

In this article I will explain one of my Favorite strategies that new bloggers can use to connect with their niche in a very quick way.

How can new bloggers connect with their niche

I have previously explained that connecting with someone doesn’t always mean that you exchange links with him but actually the process can start by one link from your side and a trackback.

A trackback is a notification some content management systems such as wordpress use to notify a blogger when you link to him. Lots of people will pay you back the favor and mention you later on in one of their posts.

Now what I do when I enter a new niche is figure out the list of the top 100 bloggers in the niche then list them in a new post that sends trackbacks to all 100 Bloggers!!

The response can be anything from linking back to you by several bloggers to having your list copied and pasted in their websites. (Don’t forget to add your site to the list)

By doing so you won’t only be notifying all the bloggers in your niche about your presence but you will also win many of them on your side and get backlinks from some of them.

Before you do so your blog must be prepared

Your don’t want to attract people to your blog once then never see them again but in order to have a successful blog and a good amount of traffic you need recurring visitors.

That’s why you must prepare your blog before notifying other bloggers that your blog exists, here is how to prepare your blog quickly for their arrival:

• Add your best posts on top: Either write new great posts or either move the greatest ones you wrote before on top so that those bloggers see them when they arrive
• Make sure your marketing message is ready : Your Slogan and Logo must be designed to deliver your marketing message to those bloggers. The marketing message must include your site’s competitive advantage (see How to market something on the internet)
• About page : Unlike websites blogging is about connecting with humans, in order to best connect with other bloggers you must have an about page that has your picture, name and a brief bio prepared
