- I am old: If your website was around for few years then you must mention this clearly in your pitch page because a big percentage of users will trust you more if they knew that you are not new to the online world. On the other hand if your website is relatively new then never mention the date you founded it. If you were already selling products for years then started selling them online then mention the date you started selling.
- Relative comparison and pricing: If you saw an Ebook that costs 99 dollars then saw a similar one that costs 70 dollars you will regard the second one as cheap even if 70 dollars is an expensive price for an Ebook. You can make use of this fact by displaying your expensive products first followed by your cheaper ones. People will regard the cheaper ones very cheap even if they are still expensive. - I don’t want to be here: Adsense optimization experts have always recommended blending the ads with the pages because this results in letting users click on the them by mistake, however, the opposite should apply to products. People hate to land on selling pages without going there by their own will. Let your product’s image stand out clearly in your website's main page so that you make sure that only those who are interested will click on it. If you fooled people by forcing them to land on your pitch page by accident they will become offended and might not buy your products
- Heeey I am here: If your website is mainly text based then advertise your product using an image on the side bar. If your website has lots of images then use a simulation to advertise your products. The more your product stands out in your page the easier it will be noticed and the more sales you will make.
- Trust must be earned my dear: people must trust you before they can buy from you. If you are selling E-books then offer a free sample and not a free gift. If they liked your sample they will buy your book. If you are selling online courses offer audio samples, if you are selling an online service offer a free subscription trial period and so on and so forth
