Use facebook, squidoo, doshdosh, reddit, plime, Digg and twiter to get instant one way back links. All of these sites will allow you to either post a page from your website there or to post a link to your site somewhere in your profile.

Wikipedia can bring you some really Good traffic if your page meets their guidelines you can edit their pages then link to yours. If you don’t meet their guidelines your links will be removed shortly, however, sometimes it can be forgotten for months.

Start your own blog at blogspot.com, it will take you few minutes, then use it to link to your main site. You can also to making your blog popular so that both the website and the blog support each other. The blog will give you access to the community of bloggers whom you then can direct to your website.
