For example if you are selling a weight loss book you could promise fast weight loss so that those who are motivated by rewards become encouraged to buy and in the same time you can point out the health risks associated with obesity so that you motivate those who want to avoid pain.
Using both motivation styles together can have a great influence on your customers since each one of us can be motivated by the two styles but with different degrees of responsiveness to each of them.
It’s the same concept that the heaven or hell approach uses, be good and you will go to heaven or be evil and you will go to hell. Use the two motivation styles in your pitch pages and you will sell more products online.
