The main reason people fail to sell online is that they never try to understand how the visitor who surfs their website think, behave or act. One of the most important motivators that allow an occasional visitor to turn into a customer is trust building.
After all, the person who surfs your website never saw you before nor has he ever saw your company's office. The only way to convince him to buy from you to is to let him trust you.
While there are lots of ways to build trust online still one of the most important ones is writing and advertising for your products with confidence.
Why don’t you offer a money back guarantee? It will show the online user that you trust your product and that you believe that he won’t need to return it.
Why don’t you use powerful words in your sales page that are not spammy? For example instead of saying "my product is great" or "my product’s results are guaranteed" you can write a paragraph similar to the one I used in the pitch page of one of my best selling books, here is it:
“The other thing that makes the book different is that it has no alternatives, browse the web, search for free tips, grab all the advices you can and as soon as you discover that they aren't working come back and buy it. There are no free alternatives to the information found in this book and that's why i am increasing its price every few weeks. Bookmark this page and come back when you are tired of searching.”
Do you now get what I mean by the phrase "sell with confidence"?
Spammers just use spammy words like "guaranteed" or "proven" but people who sell with confidence use normal words that describe the real competitive advantage of their products instead of just fooling people to purchase inferior products.
Succeeding in selling online depends on only one thing, trust building, sell with confidence and you will gain the visitor’s trust. (see How to market an Ebook).
