Using Bullets for search engine optimization

Lots of my pages come up first on search engines even though they have Zero page rank and maybe that’s the main reason you arrived to this page you are reading now.

I always keep searching for ways to make my pages more optimized by reading and conducting tests.

How Google’s crawler thinks

As a result of years of searching and learning about SEO I came to know the fact that Google’s algorithm is extremely similar to the way a human being thinks. Whenever Google announces a major change in its algorithm it usually means that their crawler has become a little more closer to the way a human thinks.

This means that if your page appeals to human beings then most likely it will appear to Google’s bot too and so appear on the top results.

That’s one of the main reasons Google tends to favor content rich pages (pages having a good density of the keywords the search query is targeting, having lots of related keywords and lots of content).

That’s also one of the reasons link farms never work or never come up first, simply because the human like algorithm finds out they have no real content and so discards them

How to use bullet points to rank better

I discovered that Google favors content rich pages that have bullet points over content rich pages that have no bullet points!!

This sounds very logical because an article having Good content plus bullet points will most likely contain lots of good information that a human being would like.

In order to make sure of the test results I decided to put two lists of bullets in a single article and see how will it rank and the results were shocking, the article that had two lists of bullet points and rich keywords appeared on the top of results even though it had a page rank of Zero!!

Of course I am not saying that bullet points alone can help you rank well but just as I always say, coming up on the top of results requires that you combine as many SEO factors as you can in your article.
