Will the page rank drop affect your traffic?

First of all there are few important point you should know about Google Page rank.

First of all, Google page rank has almost no relation with your website's traffic, your Google page rank could drop while your Google traffic could increase if you optimized your pages correctly.

Google page rank is something prestigious, consider it a promotion without salary increase where the title gets bigger but the pay remains the same.

Why did my page rank drop

Either you have done something Google doesn’t like or either you have lost some backlinks. In the first case you could have sold text ads, got involved in link farms or linked to a website that Google banned.

On the other hand losing backlinks might result in page rank decrease and even having the same number of backlinks constant without increasing them can reduce your page rank.

The Google Algorhirm is always being updated and the more updates they make to it the more the page rank of websites drop.

So what to do now to restore my page rank?

Read Google’s guidelines to make sure that you haven’t offended the big G. If you found that you did nothing wrong then move on to the next step which is educating yourself on how to build quality one way back links that can help you increase your rank.
