Get more traffic to your website

My first website is now getting more than and i am making a respectable five digit income out of it each month.

The reason i created this second website is to tell people how i succeed in making money online so that they can do the same. So let's get straight to the topic, how to get more traffic to your website?

Today i was eagerly searching for a website that helps me put the code for a "Tweet this button" on every article i write. While doing the search i realized that there is one common thing between all the sites i visited, they were all complicated and hard to understand!!

As i kept going through the search results i found a link having the title "How to add a tweet this button to your articles in three easy steps". I happily clicked on the link, ignored all other search results and started reading about those 3 steps.

What happened here?

What happened here was a simple example that demonstrates how a certain website can beat competition easily just because it differentiated itself from other websites. (for more information on differentiation see Marketing your blog or website).

obviously not all internet users are computer Gurus and that's why there is a need for simplified codes that can be understood by beginners, however all the websites i saw were just dumping complicated content to the visitor's screen.

One of them however managed to become different and provided the information in a simple way and that's why it got some page views when i visited it as a reward (see How to increase hits on your website).

Its very important to notice that there are certain unmet needs on the web even if there are millions of websites that seem to cover these needs. As long as there is a certain weakness that most websites share then the unmet need can be better satisfied by your website.

For example my personal development website has managed to become very popular even though there seemed to be millions of competing websites, but when you look into deeper details you will find that my site is different from other sites because it provides complex information in a simple why and that's why you can't even say that its competing with normal personal development websites.

What about your site?

Open your eyes and you will find that there are still lots of unmet needs on the web because of complicated websites, incompetent ones or ones that are copied from other sources.

Once you find an unmet need position your site in such a way that helps the visitor realize that your website can meet his unmet need. You don't need to invent Facebook in order to become rich online, you just have to introduce a better version of an already existing site.

For example if i was the owner if the website that had the twitter button tips i might have used "Web Codes made easy" as a slogan for example.

So you don't need to compete with all online sites that are in your site's category in order to beat them but you only need to differentiate your site in a such a way that most of them become no longer your competitors.

I make thousands of dollars of each month from the internet without leaving my bed and without paying anything.
