What you were told will never work

I am sure you have seen these same boring advices over and over everywhere on the web without being able to make any use out of them:

Is Content really the king?: Does this mean that you can't have great content that no one saw before?? yes i am sure your site is great but no one knows anything about it

Do back links really help?: I am sure that you have posted comments on at least 50 blogs, submitted your website to at least 100 directories and exchanged links with at least 30 others bloggers yet got limited or even no traffic out of them all

Is page rank really helpful?: I know websites that have page rank of 7 but doesn't appear in search results because they aren't optimized and i know websites that has a zero page rank yet appear in the top results in Google and yahoo (see How important is Google page rank).

Simply, bloggers and webmasters copy the same advices from each other then give them to their visitors without really understanding what works and what doesn't work. The first website that i started 2 years ago is now getting more than 350,000 visits each month. I am no magician but i studied marketing, psychology and consumer behavior.
