Because Google gives a very high weight to anchor text getting a link with anchor text that is related to your page will boost your page rank
• never Forget about linking from within the article body: when people submit articles to article directories they usually include a link in their bio only not knowing that Most article directories accepts links that are within the body of the article. If you already have 10 articles submitted on different sites then go and add a link to your site coming from within the body of each of them. • Directories are useless: At least the ones that are not famous. I submitted my website to more than 1000 directories and my page rank didn't move up one point. Don't waste your time submitting your website to directories
