At the time of writing this article i am selling 9 books successfully throughout my websites. At the beginning of my online book selling journey i used to think that the best way to sell more books was to drive more traffic to my pitch pages.
i ran a PPC campain, provided link to my pitch page everywhere on my site and advertised my pitch page everywhere on the internet. All of these actions gave a very slight push to the sales of my books as if this wasn't the correct way to market books online!!
One of the books i sell i called how i did it which explains how i managed to create a website that brings me a five digit income every month. As soon as i edited my about page and mentioned my monthly income in it my book sales surged!!
When people who already visit my about page discovered that i make a lot of money online they became curious to know how i did it and when they found out that i am selling a book that teaches people how to make money online they started buying it.
So after all selling more books wasn't related to forcing people to find my pitch page but it was more related to making them search for it themselves.
Most online marketers fail to sell anything online because they depend on bombarding people with pitch pages without first motivating them to want their products.
If you have 10,20 or 100 pages on your website then all of your pages must play a role in igniting the visitor's desire to buy your products. If one page made the visitor feel that you have useful knowledge, another page made him believe that you are an expert while a third page reinforced the idea then you will be able to sell more books online without doing any extra effort.
when designing a website that is dedicated for selling Ebooks make sure that it has more than just pitch pages!! Normal pages on your site are the ones that build the trust and this trust is what leads to sales.
If you want to become successful online then you must first build this trust before you attempt to sell anything to your visitors.
